PROFILE OF THE HEAD OF BUSINESS DEPARTMENT

Richmond Eyifah Acquah was posted to the school in the year 2005 as a subject teacher (Financial and Cost Accounting)

Richmond had his Secondary Education at Swedru school of business (Swesbu) which he successfully completed and had his ORDINARY LEVEL CERTIFICATE. He then continued at Apam Secondary School to pursue a two-year program in business and was awarded an ADVANCED LEVEL CERTIFICATE in his educational career.

As a Professional Teacher, Master Richmond Eyifah Acquah also attended the S.D.A training collage at koforidua Asokore in the Eastern Region to pursue a three-year program and was awarded a post. Secondary Certificate (Cert ‘A’ 3year posec) to qualify him as a professional teacher.

Before his First Degree at University of Education Winneba; Richmond taught at Agona Nsaba J.S.S as a service personnel and later at Agona Swedru J.S.S ‘B,’ this time as a professional teacher.

Richmond gained admission to again pursue a program at the University of Education Winneba, Kumasi campus to complete a four-year course program in Business Education which he successfully completed and was awarded a CFRTIFICATE IN BACHELORS DEGREE, ACCOUNTING OPTION. He was posted to Apam Senior High School, His Alma Mater where he had taught as a subject teacher and as a form master till his appointment as the Head of the department.

 Richmond apart from teaching, was appointed to serve as the School’s P.T.A financial Secretary and he diligently performed.

In the teaching fraternity, he also served as the acting Zonal Chairman for the National Association of Graduate Teacher (Nagrat) in the Gomoa West District and subsequently was elected as the Regional Treasurer of the Association.

Based on his experience in his field of study, Richmond now serves as the Director of Finance for his church (Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Central Presbytery).

Currently in the School, Richmond the Head of Business Department is now on the school’s procurement committee as secretary and also as the Chairman of the School’s Internal Audit committee

He also coordinates the duties and responsibilities of all other heads of department in support of the Assistant Headmaster Academic.

As a matter of fact, because of the nature of his career and the subject he teaches; Richmond believes in Fairness, Sincerity, Probity and Accountability as well as Value for Money. He is very free and down to everybody including the students he teaches.
